72 participants successfully completed the Run 2 Free Hong Kong Marathon - Fundraising continues until October 15th.

The Run 2 Free Hong Kong Marathon took place on September 30th and concluded with great success. The weather was delightful, with clear skies and gentle breezes. 72 participants, including 4 full marathon runners, 5 half marathon runners, 18 10-km runners, and 45 5-Km walkers, arrived at the "London Mid-autumn Festival Fair" organized by the Victoria Harbor Group in the late afternoon. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm as runners were lively with high spirits without showing signs of fatigue. Each participant tied a yellow ribbon to the railings as a symbolic gesture, representing their desire to set Hong Kong free.

The success of this charitable fundraising event was made possible thanks to the support and assistance from friends and partners. We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Mr. Anthony Tso for initiating this riverside long-distance run to raise funds for the Bonham Tree Aid and the At Home Foundation.  As of September 30th, a total of £22,500 has been raised, reaching 75% of our £30,000 target. We are grateful for the continued support and encouragement from those who wish to contribute.  We have decided to extend the fundraising period for an additional two weeks, until October 15th.

On behalf of the At Home Foundation and the Bonham Tree Aid, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to everyone involved. We hold immense respect for the 72 participants, particularly the marathon and half marathon runners, who selflessly dedicated their time and effort to training for this event. Their determination and endurance were evident as they completed the race within the allocated time, inspiring us all. We would also like to acknowledge the volunteers who played a crucial role in the event's preparation and execution. Lastly, our heartfelt gratitude goes to the generous donors whose contributions will help us continue our support to young individuals, both within and outside the wall. We hope to receive further donations in the upcoming two weeks, surpassing our fundraising goal.

Once again, we extend our warmest thanks to all participants and supporters for their invaluable contributions!
