Thank you for supporting “Chains of Thousand Hearts”
The fundraising campaign ‘Chain of Thousand Hearts’, which lasted for nearly two months, ended last Sunday (July 23). A total of £38,270 was raised. Although it did not meet the target, we were very encouraged by the friendly support from all walks of life. We will be using the funds raised prudently to help young people in need.
It's the first time we raised money in this way. We had no experience, but we were fortunate to receive help from many on pro bono basis. Volunteers supported us in planning and arranging details, designing posters, shooting promotional videos, posting information on the Internet, etc. Many thanks to the team that arranged the publicity for us, the young talents who volunteered to make the films, and the friends who came forward to explain the workings of our charity programs, ie, the job matching platform, emergency accommodation, emotional support and scholarships. We must also thank Professor Johannes Chan, Mr. Wing Tat Lee, Mr. Anthony Tsao, Dr. Kim Wah Chung, Mr Ben Rogers and former Home Secretary and current MP Ms Priti Patel. They took time out of their busy schedules to take short videos with themselves appearing to introduce At Home Foundation, and appeal for donations. They are encouraging and motivating us to carry on, and step up our efforts to do better.
Last but not least, our sincere gratitude goes to all donors who have supported At Home Foundation. With their generous donations, we will be able to carry out the missions of the Foundation to help new immigrants to regain their confidence, and rebuild their homes.
